The government has appointed S Radha Chauhan, Chairperson of the Capacity Building Commission (CBC), as the sole member of the inquiry committee. However, she may seek assistance from other officers if required. Chauhan’s appointment underscores the seriousness with which the Ministry of Education is treating the matter, as the OSM system was expected to be a key step in digitizing CBSE’s evaluation process.
The reshuffle of CBSE’s leadership highlights the government’s intent to ensure accountability and transparency in the functioning of one of India’s largest school boards. Administrative changes of this nature are rare and often signal deeper concerns about governance and procurement practices.
