Bhubaneswar, Mar 16: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has spoken to Khushbu, a teenager from Danapur, Bihar, assuring the girl of government support for her studies.

The Union Education Minister has asked Khushbu not to take stress over her education. He has assured the girl that both the Centre and state government will support her financially.

Notably, Khushbu, who wants to pursue Intermediate Science in a bid to fulfil her dream to be a doctor, passed her matriculation with 399 marks out of a total 500. Her mother had told Khushbu that if she gets 400 marks, she will be allowed to pursue Intermediate Science.

However, she missed the target by a whisker – just one mark. And this eventually forced Khushbu to sign up for Intermediate Arts instead of Intermediate Science.

Netizens urged the government to help her out after Khushbu’s story went viral on social media. Her parents said that they couldn’t afford to help Khushbu in pursuing Intermediate Science due to financial difficulties.

“There is nothing to worry. You (Khushbu) keep focus on your studies. The Centre, as well as the Bihar government will support you in every way possible,” said Union Education Minister Pradhan.

Under the leadership of Narendra Modi, the government consistently strives to empower the daughters of India and advance their progress. Union Minister Pradhan said that it's a sentiment that resonates with the vision of fostering equality and opportunity.
