Ayodhya Redefines Sacred Spaces: Meat Sales Banned In Key Religious Routes

Key Points

The decision follows multiple complaints submitted to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s Janata Darbar and the CM portal, urging a ban on meat sales near Shri Ram Janmabhoomi.

Ayodhya, May 30: The Ayodhya Municipal Corporation has imposed a ban on meat sales in several religious routes across the city to preserve its spiritual sanctity. The prohibition applies to Ram Path, Bhakti Path, Dharma Path, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Path, as well as the 14-Kosi and Panch-Kosi Parikrama routes.

Authorities have directed all meat-selling shops in these areas to shut down within seven days. Strict action will be taken against violators by the municipal administration.
