Art Of Living Distributes Food Supplies To Over 6 Lakh Kalpavasis, Houses 1.5 Lakh Pilgrims At Mahakumba

Prayagraj, Feb 7: Volunteers of The Art of Living, founded by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, are serving tirelessly to feed and house lakhs of devotees at Mahakumbh, providing them care, nourishment, and wellness services under the very guidance of the Gurudev.


In an ongoing initiative, Sri Sri Tattva is distributing 250 tons of food supplies at Maha Kumbh benefiting lakhs of pilgrims, Akharas and Kalpavasis. One ton khichdi is being served to the pilgrims twice a day at the Art of Living camp in Sector 8. So far, 6 lakhs packets of biscuits, 40,000 litres of ghee and 70,000 packets of soya chunks have been distributed. Additionally, eight Ayurveda practitioners have provided Ayurvedic pulse diagnoses and consultations to over 5000 people so far, which will continue till February 26.


The Art of Living had also organized free Nav Chetna Camps for sanitation workers at the Maha Kumbh across all 25 sectors of the Kumbh region, where they were taught techniques to meditate, get rid of their stresses, take care of their emotions and find good rest in short span of time.


The Art of Living has set up a camp at Bajrangdas Marg, Sector 8, where daily satsangs, discourses, Rudra Puja are also being conducted.

Gurudev arrived in Kumbh earlier this week, where he took a holy dip in the Ganges at Nagvasuki Ghat, accompanied by followers from around the world. He then visited Satuwa Baba’s ashram for an insightful conversation and later met Swami Avdheshanand Giri Ji. On Vasant Panchami, he bathed at Triveni Sangam and met Digambar Akhada saints.


On February 4, Gurudev led thousands of seekers through a boissful meditation in the satsang at the camp, joined virtually by millioms of devotees from 180 countries. The Meditation was webcast on Gurudev's YouTube channel and Art of Living's Sattva App.


]"The Maha Kumbh is a time to move from the ephemeral to the eternal, from individual consciousness to Brahman consciousness," Gurudev shared, "It is a time to ponder one’s own truth—not just intellectually, but experientially. Here, millions congregate to celebrate the unity in diversity of spiritual confluence."


Yesterday, Gurudev visited Ekatma Dham, where he explored a museum dedicated to the life of Adi Shankaracharya. Gurudev also met prominent saints, including Swami Sharananand Ji at Karshni Ashram, Geeta Manishi Swami Gyananand Maharaj, Sadhvi Ritambhara Ji and Sri Maluk Peethadheeshwar Swami Rajendra Das Ji. He also interacted with government officials, members of the body of chartered accountants, High Court judges, and disciples of Ashutosh Maharaj.
