Kolkata, Jun 17: An Air India flight travelling from San Francisco to Mumbai encountered a technical issue, leading to an unscheduled landing in Kolkata on Monday night.

The airline swiftly arranged for the safe deplaning of all passengers, ensuring their comfort and security.

According to Air India officials, the aircraft experienced the snag mid-flight, prompting the pilot to make the precautionary stop at Kolkata’s Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport.

Engineers immediately assessed the situation, working to resolve the issue before the plane could resume its journey.

Passengers were accommodated in Kolkata while the airline made alternate arrangements for their onward travel to Mumbai.
