Diwali / 10th Deepotsav in Ayodhya Marks Revival of Cultural Heritage, Says CM Yogi

Key Points
New Delhi, Nov 7: As Ayodhya prepared to host the landmark 10th edition of Deepotsav, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said the festival has evolved beyond a celebration of lights into a symbol of cultural resurgence, national self-respect and the restoration of Ayodhya's historic and spiritual prominence.
In a message marking the occasion, the Chief Minister said the resolve initiated on the banks of the sacred Saryu River in 2017 has helped give India's cultural heritage a renewed identity while enhancing its recognition on the global stage.
Taking to social media platform X, Adityanath said the decade-long journey of Deepotsav has transformed centuries of anticipation into reality and restored Ayodhya to its rightful place in India's cultural consciousness.
He said the lakhs of lamps illuminated at Ram Ki Paidi over the years have done more than dispel darkness, spreading the message of faith, social upliftment, empowerment of marginalised communities and self-reliance.

✨“This historic decade of Deepotsav in Shri Ayodhya Dham has not been limited to the glow of lamps and world records, but has become a golden chapter in the revival of the glory of Lord Shri Ram's city from the Treta Yuga, the renaissance of Sanatan culture, and the restoration of the nation's self-respect,” he said.
Call for Ram Rajya
The Chief Minister urged citizens to imbibe the ideals of Lord Shri Ram and work towards establishing a Ram Rajya where the benefits of development reach the most deprived sections of society.
“On this glorious 10th edition of Deepotsav, let us all embrace the ideals of Lord Shri Ram in our lives. Let us build a Ram Rajya where the light of development reaches the lives of those at the very bottom of society,” he said.
Ayodhya Ready for Celebrations

Symbol of Consciousness
Highlighting the spiritual significance of the festival, Adityanath said a lamp symbolises awakening and consciousness rather than merely being an earthen vessel.
Describing Ayodhya as the foremost among the seven sacred
cities, he said the 10th Deepotsav represents the revival of faith,
self-respect and India's eternal cultural consciousness. He also appealed to
people to light lamps in their homes alongside the celebrations at Ram
Janmabhoomi, calling it a collective expression of the triumph of eternal
truth.
