London, Nov 16: The identity of a British woman, who was found dead along a riverbank in Belgium 31 years ago, has finally been detected, thanks to the tattoo she had on her forearm then.
According to the Interpol, Rita Roberts was found lying dead alongwith 22 women along the riverbank. She had a tattoo of a black flower with green leaves and 'R'Nick' written on her right forearm.
Her family was able to identify her when her tattoo was shown in a crime report of BCC.
The policing agency Interpol said in a statement that "a family member in the United Kingdom recognised the tattoo on the news and notified Interpol and Belgian authorities".
