Bhubaneswar, Jun 11: The second solar eclipse, or Surya Grahan, of 2026 will occur on August 12, creating a rare total solar eclipse visible across parts of Europe, including Spain, Iceland and Greenland, while partial phases will be visible in several other regions.

Although the celestial event will not be visible from India because it will occur when the Sun is below the horizon, Vedic astrologers believe its planetary alignments could still influence all 12 zodiac signs.

A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun, casting a shadow on the Earth. The August 12 event will be the second solar eclipse of 2026, following the annular solar eclipse that occurred on February 17.
