requesting a day’s leave simply to spend time with his girlfriend before she
left for Uttarakhand on December 17. The mail mentioned that she would “not
return until early January”, so he wanted December 16 off to be with her.
What stood out was his complete honesty — no fabricated illness, no vague reasons, just a straightforward explanation.

later shared a screenshot of the request on LinkedIn. The post quickly went
viral. Khuller wrote that earlier, employees would often claim to be “sick” to
take leave, but now people are more open and honest about their personal needs.
He added that he appreciates this transparency, as it builds trust and makes
working relationships healthier.
In a light‑hearted tone, Khullar captioned the post, “Can’t say no to love; can we? Leave approved!”
