OUSSSC CPSE-2024 (SI) Official Recruitment UPDATE: Mandatory DATA Validation Window Opens
OUSSC SI Exam Update

Key Points

OUSSC opens a mandatory profile validation window for CPSE 2024 candidates from October 15 to October 29.
Candidates can update age relaxation status, verify certificate details, and permanently lock their profiles.
Profile data locked during this period will be treated as final and non-editable for all subsequent recruitment stages.

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Uniformed Services Staff Selection Commission (OUSSSC) has issued a critical press notification regarding the Combined Police Services Examination 2024 (CPSE-2024) for the recruitment of Sub-Inspectors (SI) of Police.

All male and female candidates who previously registered and applied for this examination cycle must log into the official web portal to validate, modify, and permanently lock their candidate profiles.

CRUCIAL TIMELINE

Candidates must complete the validation process strictly within the designated time frame. The portal will not accept entries outside this window:

·         Portal Closing Time: 29.10.2026 at 10:00 PM

PURPOSE AND CONTEXT OF THE DIRECTIVE

The OUSSSC has implemented this mandatory update window due to specific administrative adjustments and structural overhauls aimed at restarting the recruitment cycle cleanly:

·         Implementation of Age Relaxation: Following prolonged delays in the examination cycle, the state government has approved updated age-relaxation rules. This window allows eligible candidates who crossed the maximum age limit during the delay to officially update their status and protect their eligibility.

·         Logistical Center Mapping: By validating active profiles, the commission will determine the exact volume of participating candidates. This data will be used to map and allocate examination centers efficiently across various districts, minimizing logistical errors.

·         System Security and Anti-Fraud Measures: Freezing candidate profiles at this stage creates a permanent master database. This measure prevents impersonation, structural data manipulation, or unauthorized changes in later stages of the recruitment process.

OFFICIAL STEP-BY-STEP DATA VALIDATION PROCEDURE

Candidates are advised to use a stable desktop internet browser and follow this sequence to successfully update their details:

Step 1: Access the Portal

Go to the official website of the commission by typing ousssc.odisha.gov.in directly into the address bar. Do not click on unverified external links or third-party portals to protect your personal data.

Step 2: Candidate Authentication

On the homepage interface, locate and click on the "Candidate Login" or "Registered User" tab. Enter your active credentials, which include your Registration Number/Username/Email ID, your Password, and the dynamic Captcha Code. Click on the 'Login' button.

Step 3: Locate the CPSE Link

Once inside the applicant dashboard, find and click the highlighted link labeled: "Data Update/Validation Window for Combined Police Services Examination-2024".

Step 4: Profile Review and Age Modification

The system will display your original application details. Verify all fields carefully. Navigate to the "Age Relaxation" category section. Candidates claiming benefits under the newly extended government provisions must select the appropriate option to update their status.

Step 5: Document Check

Ensure that all original certification numbers (Educational, Caste, or Identity certificates) correspond perfectly with the values recorded in the text fields.

Step 6: Preview and Locking

Click on the "Preview Application" option. Review the modified columns side-by-side with your original data. Ensure all corrections are completely accurate.

Step 7: Final Submission

Click the "Submit" button to permanently lock your data. Wait for the confirmation prompt: “Data Validated Successfully.” Download the newly generated Updated Acknowledgement Report in PDF format and print a physical copy for future reference during document verification.

STATUTORY WARNING TO CANDIDATES

The OUSSSC has explicitly stated that the data submitted or validated during this window will be treated as final, absolute, and permanent for all subsequent rounds of recruitment, including the written examination, physical measurement tests, and final document verification. No requests for corrections, modifications, or category changes will be entertained under any circumstances after 10:00 PM on October 29, 2026. Failure to validate details within the timeline may result in the rejection of candidate eligibility.
