NIT Rourkela Opens Unified Admission Portal For DASA & CSAB-Special 2025

Key Points

Common portal launched for DASA and CSAB-Special 2025 admissions.

Registration starts July 30; seat allotment begins August 9.

Rourkela, July 29: The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela, the organizing institute for DASA and CSAB-Special 2025, has announced the launch of a common admission portal for undergraduate admissions to premier technical institutes across India. The registration process begins July 30, 2025, via csab.nic.in, offering a streamlined gateway for both Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) and CSAB-Special Round applicants.

This unified system enables eligible candidates to apply for B.Tech, B.Arch, and planning programs at NITs, IIITs, SPAs, IIEST Shibpur, and other centrally or state-funded technical institutions. The initiative aims to reduce duplication, simplify documentation, and minimize seat vacancies.

DASA 2025 is open to NRIs, OCIs, PIOs, and foreign nationals with valid JEE (Main) 2025 ranks, including categories like Non-SAARC, SAARC, and CIWG (Children of Indian Workers in Gulf). Meanwhile, CSAB-Special 2025 caters to Indian citizens, including reserved categories and OCI/PIO(I) candidates who missed or wish to upgrade their JoSAA allotments.
