Rameswaram (Tamil Nadu), Dec 30: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan emphasized the importance of linguistic diversity as a bridge of knowledge, stating that it will make India’s future stronger. He was speaking at the valedictory ceremony of Kashi Tamil Sangamam 4.0 held in Rameswaram.
The Union Minister noted that the Sangamam, envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has celebrated India’s intellectual, spiritual, and cultural heritage while reinforcing national unity. Beginning on the banks of the Ganga in Kashi and concluding on the shores of Rameswaram, the event has given fresh energy to the spirit of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat and revived centuries-old ties between the two regions.
In his address, the Union Education Minister underlined that
inclusivity and accessibility of India’s civilizational knowledge are the core
objectives of both the Sangamam and the National Education Policy. “When we
respect diversity and embrace linguistic variety as a bridge of knowledge,
India’s future becomes stronger,” he said.

✨Dharmendra Pradhan further stressed that Tamil civilization is not merely a regional identity but a foundational pillar of India’s civilizational journey. This year’s theme, Tamil Karkalam, not only promotes Tamil learning but also opens doors to India’s ancient knowledge systems. He expressed confidence that the Sangamam will inspire India’s youth to become proud carriers of the nation’s glorious civilizational legacy.
On the occasion, the Union Education Minister also visited the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Memorial in Tamil Nadu, paying tribute to the former President and renowned scientist.
The Kashi Tamil Sangamam 4.0 thus concluded with a strong
message of unity, cultural pride, and the role of linguistic diversity in
shaping a powerful future for India.
