Baripada, July 30: The Indian Air Force (IAF) is set to organize a large-scale Agniveer Vayu recruitment rally at Baripada in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district, from August 26 to September 4, 2025, officials said on Wednesday.

The rally will be held at Chhau Padia (Chhau ground) here and will recruit eligible male and female candidates from 12 states, including Odisha, West Bengal, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand.

The recruitment drive, conducted under the Agnipath scheme, aims to attract youth interested in serving the nation through the Indian Air Force. The rally will be held in three phases, offering a golden opportunity for aspirants to showcase their skills and join the defense forces.

A preparatory meeting was held at the Mahatma Gandhi Conference Hall in the Mayurbhanj District Collector’s office, chaired by the District Collector, in this regard. Group Captain Sanjay Pattnaik, Commanding Officer of the 9 Airmen Selection Centre, Bhubaneswar, presented detailed plans for the rally’s execution.

Pattnaik emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts between the district administration and Air Force officials to ensure smooth operations.

The rally is expected to witness participation from a large number of candidates across the region. The IAF has requested all stakeholders to cooperate and facilitate the successful organization of the rally.
