New Delhi, Feb 23: In a significant step towards enriching India’s education system with advanced technology, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday launched The Teacher App 2.0, an AI-driven initiative of Bharti Airtel Foundation.
The app is designed to provide teachers with modern tools,
quality content, and dashboards to make classroom teaching more engaging and
effective.

Speaking on the occasion, Pradhan said the AI-powered digital assistant would simplify teaching and empower educators with innovative resources. He emphasized that such initiatives not only strengthen the roots of the education system but also align with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which advocates integration of technology in learning.

✨The Minister thanked Bharti Airtel Foundation and CK-12 Foundation for their efforts, noting that the app would serve as a force multiplier in education. He highlighted that India has successfully hosted the India AI Impact Summit 2026, underscoring the transformative role of artificial intelligence across sectors.
Pradhan further said, if AI is harnessed effectively, it can ensure better learning outcomes and personalized education. He added that The Teacher App 2.0 would accelerate the ongoing AI revolution in the country and contribute to building a robust digital learning ecosystem.
The Minister also advised that sovereign large language
models (LLMs) be integrated into the platform and training tools be made
available in multiple Indian languages. This, he said, would ensure inclusivity
and allow the multilingual teaching community to benefit from the app.

Pradhan expressed hope that the initiative would add a new chapter to India’s AI revolution in education, making teaching more dynamic and accessible while supporting the government’s vision of technology-enabled learning for all.
