Bhubaneswar, Apr 8: The State Selection Board (SSB) has officially released the schedule for the Common Postgraduate Entrance Test (CPET) 2026.
The examinations will be conducted from May 5 to May 16, 2026, across Odisha. This entrance test is the gateway for admission into postgraduate courses in state universities and colleges.
A total of 58,708 students have applied for 31,915 PG seats across 50 postgraduate subjects.
The CPET will be held in two shifts daily. The morning shift runs from 10:00 AM to 11:40 AM, while the afternoon shift is scheduled from 3:00 PM to 4:40 PM. Each subject has been allotted a specific date and shift.

✨On the opening day, May 5, examinations will be conducted for subjects including Commerce, Biotechnology, Sociology, Environmental Science, Education, and Anthropology (Arts). The detailed subject-wise schedule has been published on the official SSB Odisha website.
Candidates can download their admit cards starting April 30, 2026, from the official portal ssbodisha.ac.in. The Higher Education Department has clarified that admission to PG courses will be strictly based on CPET scores, ensuring transparency and merit-based selection.
The CPET has become a crucial academic milestone in Odisha, offering thousands of students the opportunity to pursue advanced studies. Universities and colleges across the state are preparing to accommodate the influx of candidates during the examination period.
