Bhubaneswar, Mar 25: The Common PG Entrance Test (CPET) for admission into postgraduate courses across Odisha will begin on May 5, and continue until May 18.

 

The Higher Education Department has officially announced the schedule, marking the start of the admission process for the academic year 2026-27.

 

This year, a total of 58,708 students have applied for 31,915 PG seats available in universities and colleges across the state. Applications were invited through the SAMS portal between February 27 and March 22, 2026. The collected data will be handed over to the State Selection Board (SSB) on March 26, 2026.

Admit cards for the entrance examination will be available from April 30, 2026. Students can download their admit cards directly from the SSB website (https://ssbodisha.ac.in/). The Higher Education Department has clarified that selection into PG courses will be strictly based on CPET scores.

 

Authorities have set a target to commence postgraduate classes in all universities and colleges by July 10, 2026, ensuring timely academic progression.
