Drug Bust / What Anugola Police Found Inside a BMW Car Will Blow Your Mind

Anugola, Aug 8: Police in Anugola district on Saturday arrested three people and seized 10 grams of brown sugar, a BMW car and a motorcycle during a raid at Chhelia under Kaniha police station limits.

Acting on specific information about alleged drug trafficking inside a luxury car near the Chhelia playground, a joint team of the Anugola Special Squad and Kaniha police conducted a raid.

Three alleged drug peddlers were arrested during the operation. Police said the main accused is absconding. The arrested accused were subsequently produced before a court.

42 Kg Ganja Seized In Kalahandi
In a separate operation, Kesinga police in Kalahandi district arrested a 26-year-old man and seized around 42 kg of contraband ganja near the new bus stand at Kurlupada on Friday evening.

Police identified the accused as Bikash Digal, 26. The seized cannabis has an estimated market value of around Rs 2 lakh, according to the police.


Police said they acted on specific information and conducted the raid near the new bus stand. Officials suspect the ganja was being transported from Kalahandi to another state, though this remains part of the investigation.

Kesinga Additional Tahasildar Vivekananda Samal, who was present as the magistrate during the raid, and other police officials were also present.

87g Brown Sugar Seized In Kataka
The State Flying Squad of the Excise Department seized 87 grams of brown sugar from Kota Sahi in Tangi, Kataka district, and arrested one person in connection with the seizure. The arrested accused was identified as Bharat Kumar Sahu. The seized brown sugar is estimated to be worth around Rs 8.70 lakh, according to the Excise Department.
