Puri, Sep 27: People searching for matrimonial matches online are being cautioned against a suspected fraud operation allegedly being run in the name of ShaadiPartner.com, after more than 50 people from Odisha's Puri district reportedly claimed to have been duped.
According to complaints, a woman from Rourkela is allegedly operating the matrimonial website, which reportedly promises users assistance in finding suitable life partners in return for registration fees.
Three Registration Plans Offered
The service reportedly offers three registration plans -- Platinum for Rs 7,000, Gold for Rs 5,000 and Silver for Rs 3,500.
Complainants allege that after collecting the registration fee, the people operating the service seek additional payments on various pretexts. They allegedly switch off their phones and become unreachable after receiving the money.
