Elsewhere, in Kendrapara district, a joint team comprising officials from the State Health Department, the District Health Department, and the Sub-Collector’s office launched raids on several ultrasound clinics.

Acting on prior complaints of malpractice and irregularities, the authorities inspected two clinics near Old Medical in Kendrapara town.

All documents related to ultrasound operations were scrutinized, and officials warned that strict action would follow if irregularities were confirmed. The raids were conducted by six officials — three from the state health department and three from the district health department — along with the Sub-Collector.

Both operations highlight the state’s intensified crackdown on corruption and irregularities in public services. While Vigilance continues its investigation into alleged financial misappropriation by the retired engineer, health authorities are determined to ensure compliance and accountability in medical practices. These actions send a strong message about transparency and enforcement across sectors in Odisha.
