Kamakshyanagar, Mar 22: A man was reportedly axed to death at Kandhabola village under Kamakshyanagar police station limits in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district.
The deceased was identified as Bimbadhar Nayak.
The reason behind the incident is said to be that Gangadhar had borrowed Rs 1500 from co-villeger Gangadhar Pradhan three years ago. He borrowed the money to buy house construction materials. But he did not repay the money even after the promised date.

✨Meanwhile, Gangadhar requested Bimbadhar to return his money umpteen times. Despite requests, Bimbadhar did not pay any heed. Then the situation got worse. Angry at his attitude, Gangadhar attacked him with a sharp weapon on Saturday morning.
Family members rushed Bimbadhar to the Kamakshyanagar Medical in critical condition. However, doctors declared him dead.
On being informed, Kamakshyanagar police arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation into the matter.
