Preliminary investigation suggests Loganathan lost control during the fight. He allegedly attacked Sudha and then strangled her using her scarf. Police confirmed that Sudha died inside their home.
What has stunned investigators is Loganathan’s behaviour after the crime. Reports indicate that he slept in the same house following the incident.
The next morning, upon realizing his wife was dead, he locked the house and left. He was later seen wandering in Taramani before moving to Saidapet, where he confessed to a friend that he had killed his wife. The information reached police, who tracked him down and arrested him.
Thoraiyapakkam police recovered Sudha’s body from the house and sent it for post‑mortem examination. Forensic teams have collected evidence from the crime scene.
Authorities are now probing whether the murder was solely
triggered by the liquor dispute or if deeper personal issues were involved.
