Mysterious Death / Injection In Pocket! Bhubaneswar Lab Technician’s Death Sparks Probe

Bhubaneswar, Aug 24: A 24-year-old lab technician working at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar died under mysterious circumstances on Monday, with police suspecting that an injection found in his pocket may be linked to his death, a source said.

The deceased has been identified as Suryakant Sahoo, a native of Astaranga in Puri district. He was working as a laboratory technician at a private hospital and was staying in a rented house in the Laxmisagar area of Bhubaneswar, the source added.

Injection Recovered From Pocket
Police registered an unnatural death case and launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Suryakant’s death.

During the investigation, police recovered an injection from his pocket. Based on the recovery, police suspect that he may have injected himself with a poisonous substance, resulting in his death.

However, the nature of the substance in the injection and whether it caused Suryakant’s death have not yet been established.

Post-Mortem To Establish Cause
Suryakant’s body has been sent to Capital Hospital for post-mortem examination.

Police are also questioning the deceased’s family members as part of the investigation. According to police, the exact circumstances and cause of death will become clear after the post-mortem examination, questioning of family members and completion of other aspects of the probe.
