National Stock Exchange Records Milestones In CY23
Mumbai, Dec 31: With the calendar year 2023 ending today, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) has etched a milestone by reaching an investor base of 8.5crore by December 2023. Interestingly, the investor base rose by one crore in just eight months' time by September 2023.
Uttar Pradesh secured the second position in terms of total registered investors with 90 lakh investors as on December 29, 2023 where around registrations have been done from 99.85% pincodes from all over India.
Twenty three Investors Services Centres (ISCs) have been created taking the total centres to 42.
Nifty 50 touched 20,000 points on September 11, 2023 and 21,000 points on December 8, 2023 and closed at 21,731 by the end of December 2023 which is a return of 20%.
The market capitalization of NSE increased 29% to Rs 361 lakh crore (US$4.34 trillion) in calendar year 2023 where India's market capitalisation crossed US$4 trillion.

✨Market capitalization of NSE EMERGE listed companies crossed Rs. 1,00,000 crore mark for the first time since inception of the platform in 2012. In all 409 companies listed on NSE EMERGE raising Rs 8,290 crore crossing 400 listings.
Total fund mobilisation of Rs 13.54 lakh crores was possible in 2023 with 58 mainboard listings and raising Rs 49,273 crore
In Social Stock Exchange (SSE) the first listing was done by SGBS Unnati Foundation. Apart from that 41 more NPOs registered with SSE.
