Bhubaneswar: Just when the world had taken a breath, believing COVID-19 was a ghost of the past, the pandemic seems to have made a comeback with cases being reported in different parts of the country.  Some say it’s merely a passing wave—another flicker in the pandemic’s dying embers.

over the last few weeks, Covid-19 cases have surged in Asia, particularly in Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand. However, India remains largely untouched. But is it truly untouched? Or is the virus lurking, waiting?

Hospitals report only mild cases. Health experts reassure the public—vaccines and past infections serve as armor against newer variants. Yet history has shown how quickly reassurance can turn into regret.

So, what comes next? A fading echo of past fears, or an unforeseen twist in a story we thought had ended? The answer remains unwritten, and perhaps, it is not for experts to decide—but for time itself.
