Cuttack, Nov 6: To deepen democratic engagement and empower citizens with electoral knowledge, the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer unveiled a state-of-the-art Voter Helpdesk at the ‘Historic Baliyatra Cuttack 2025’ festival grounds here on Thursday.
The initiative aims to make voter services more accessible,
promote 100% registration, and raise awareness about the importance of voting
among thousands of festival-goers, especially first-time voters and youth.
Easy Access to Voter Services
Visitors can receive guidance on voter registration (Form 6), name deletion (Form 7), corrections (Form 8), and Aadhaar linking (Form 6B). The helpdesk is designed to make these processes accessible and user-friendly, particularly for first-time voters and students.

✨Senior Officials Attend Inauguration
The helpdesk was inaugurated by Additional Chief Electoral Officer and Principal Secretary Sushanta Kumar Mishra. Other dignitaries present included Cuttack Additional District Magistrate Shib Tappo, Deputy Collector Dibyajyoti Smritiranjan Deo, and senior officials from the state administration and election commission.
Promoting Democratic Strength
The Election Commission of India has introduced 30 new initiatives over the past six months to reinforce India’s democratic framework. Information about these reforms, as well as digital tools like the ECINet app and Voter Helpline app, is being shared with the public at the helpdesk.
