The deceased has been identified as Santosh Gouda of Pangidi village.
According to police, Santosh was in love with a woman of Mendaghai village for past couple of months. Last night the couple reportedly indulged in an argument over unknown issue which compelled the victim to take the extreme step.
Local police reached the spot post an intimation by the deceased’s family members and sent the body for autopsy to Bhanjanagar hospital.
Further investigation is underway into the case.
