Mumbai, May 15: The digital launch of the film 'Sounds of The Kashmir Files' touched the hearts of the millions giving a never seen before experience while it shared the poignant stories.
'The Kashmir Files' premiered on ZEE5 on May 13 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Indian Sign Language.
India's home-grown video streaming platform, ZEE5 organised a magical evening along with Zee Studios and I Am Buddha. The makers came up with the novel idea in the music industry with "Sounds of The Kashmir Files" bringing a whole new experience for the audience to relive the unforgettable moment while touching the hearts of the millions with the musical strings that went on to capture the evening.
The event marked the presence of the director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri with the cast Pallavi Joshi and Darshan Kumar. The musical event for such a cause came as a first-ever heart-melting experience for the audience and the students who got to experience and get enclosed with the stories of the struggle and pain the residents of Kashmir went through at that time.
Vivek Agnihotri shared, "We performed the sound of The Kashmir Files and we narrated two stories of the victims by Darshan Kumaar and Pallavi Joshi along with the huge symphonic orchestra. There wasn't even one eye in that jam-packed theatre that wasn't flowing with tears.
"Even the auditorium staff which was standing near, since I was waiting backstage I noticed even they were crying just listening to it and not even seeing it. This shows that everybody is getting connected to the pain and suffering of our brothers and sisters.
The Kashmir Files was not just a film for us, it's our mission to tell the stories of Kashmir genocide to people in all art forms. We have used this Musical theatre kind of a mix for the first time in India as an experiment and we are going to take it forward with many other forms but we will not sit until we tell the entire story of Kashmir".
'The Kashmir Files' has released on India's home-grown video streaming platform, ZEE5 in multiple languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada, and will be accessible across 190+ countries.
Written and directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, the exodus drama features a stellar cast of actors including Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumaar, Pallavi Joshi, and Chinmay Mandlekar.
Produced by Zee Studios and Tej Narayan Agarwal, Abhishek Agarwal, Pallavi Joshi and Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, 'The Kashmir Files', written and directed by Vivek Agnihotri released in theatre March 11.

New Delhi, Oct 4: Centre on Wednesday notified the establishment of a National Turmeric Board in Telangana, which would be aimed at increasing consumption of turmeric and developing new markets internationally to increase exports.
The decision was taken during the union cabinet meeting, held earlier today.
The board, which will be set up in Nizamabad in Telangana, will promote research and development into new products and develop our traditional knowledge of value-added turmeric products.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 1 during his visit to Telangana, had announced the setting up of the National Turmeric Board in Nizamabad.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur told media persons after the cabinet meeting that the board will help increase turmeric exports from India to $1 billion by 2030.
The board will have a chairperson, who will be appointed by the Centre.
It will have members from the Ministry of AYUSH, departments of pharmaceuticals, agriculture and commerce ministry as well as senior state government representatives from three states (on a rotation basis), select national or state institutions involved in research, representatives of turmeric farmers and exporters, and a secretary, who will be appointed by the commerce ministry.
India is the largest producer, consumer and exporter of turmeric in the world.
In 2022-23, an area of 3.24 lakh hectares was under turmeric cultivation in India with a production of 11.61 lakh tonnes.
More than 30 varieties of turmeric are grown in India and it is grown in over 20 states in the country.
The largest producing states of turmeric are Maharashtra, Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
The National Turmeric Board will provide leadership on turmeric-related matters, augment the efforts, and facilitate greater coordination with the Spices Board and other government agencies in the development and growth of the turmeric sector.
There is significant potential and interest the world over on the health and wellness benefits of turmeric, which the board will leverage to further increase awareness and consumption, develop new markets internationally to increase exports, promote research and development into new products, and develop on our traditional knowledge for value-added turmeric products.
It will especially focus on capacity building and skill development of turmeric growers for harnessing greater benefits out of value addition. (IANS)

New Delhi, Oct 4: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed an FIR against a private company and other unknown people for causing an alleged loss of Rs 63.71 crore to IDBI Bank, an official said on Wednesday.
According to a senior CBI official, the agency has registered a case on the basis of a complaint filed by the IDBI Bank Ltd., NPA Management Group, Mumbai, against a private company, private persons and unknown others accusing them of causing a loss of Rs 63.71 crore (approx) to IDBI Bank.
The official said the accused named in the FIR are - SPG Multitrade Pvt. Ltd. (the company), Madan Lal Goyal, Prince Goyal, Shally Prince Goyal and unknown public servant(s) and private persons.
“It is alleged that the borrower company and its promoters entered a conspiracy with others and cheated IDBI Bank by way of misappropriation of funds and criminal breach of trust, manipulation of books of accounts etc.,” said the official.
“It is further alleged that the borrower company carried out fraudulent sales/purchase transactions, overstated receivables and trade payables resulting in higher drawing power and submitted wrong drawing power statements.
“An alleged loss to the tune of Rs.63.71 crore (approx) plus expenses and uncharged interest thereon was caused to IDBI Bank. Searches were conducted at Mumbai and Bhopal at the premises of the accused, which led to recovery of incriminating property documents, hard disks, locker keys, etc.,” said the official. (IANS)

The Pixel 8 is priced at Rs 75,999 and the Pixel 8 Pro will cost Rs 106,999. Both devices will be available for purchase on Flipkart, starting October 12.
The Google Pixel Watch 2 is priced at Rs 39,900 and will be available for purchase on the same day on Flipkart, the company announced.
The limited-time launch offers in India include a bank offer of Rs 8,000 on select banks and exchange offer of Rs 3,000 on Pixel 8, with its terms and conditions.
There will be an offer of Rs 9,000 on select banks and exchange offer of Rs 4,000 on Pixel 8 Pro.
“With any purchase of Pixel 8 or Pixel 8 Pro, you can buy a Pixel Watch 2 for Rs 19,999 or a Pixel Buds Pro for Rs 8,999,” according to the company.
