The arrested persons have been identified as Jakab Majhi and Padman Kadraka.
Acting on a tip off, forest officials of Gudari range conducted a raid in a cashew orchard near Hastinpur village under Padmapur block in Rayagada district and seized the elephant tusks from the two wildlife criminals.
The officials started legal action against the arrested duo.
Since 2020, more than 25 elephant tusks have been seized from differnt parts of the State and several wildlife criminals involved in the illegal trade have been arrested, officials said.
