He explained that the GPR survey covered both the outer and inner Ratna Bhandar, and once the report is received, a detailed discussion will follow.

"We have conducted a GPR survey of the outer and inner Ratna Bhandar of Puri's Sri Jagannath Temple. The report is supposed to arrive within a day or two. Once we receive the report, we will engage in detailed discussions and further analysis. If there is anything significant, the government will take appropriate action; if the report yields no findings, we will commence repair work with the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) as soon as possible. We are also trying to get the boxes and everything transferred in the Ratna Bhandar," he told ANI.

The state minister further highlighted that the government would provide a small quantity of mahaprasad to visitors on behalf of the temple.

"We will be providing mahaprasad to visitors with the understanding that when someone comes to have darshan of Lord Jagannath and returns home, their family and neighbors eagerly await something blessed from Lord Jagannath. Naturally, not everyone can afford to bring items from there. Therefore, on behalf of the temple administration, we will provide at least a katori full of mahaprasad so that the visitor can share a little with everyone," said the Odisha Law Minister.

On July 14, the Ratna Bhandar of the Shri Jagannath Temple was reopened after more than four decades. Special boxes were also brought to the temple ahead of the reopening of the Ratna Bhandar for the storage of ornaments.

The opening of the inner Ratna Bhandar was conducted in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) issued by the Odisha government. An inspection committee, chaired by Justice Biswanath Rath, consisting of 11 members, entered the inner Bhandar to oversee the shifting of the jewelry, a district administrator said.

Puri Superintendent of Police Pinak Mishra stated that security arrangements have been implemented for the opening of the inner Ratna Bhandar in line with the SOP provided by the government.

"Security arrangements have been made for the opening of Jagannath Temple's inner Ratna Bhandar. We have prepared according to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) issued by the government of Odisha," he said. (ANI)

The PM said, "Create global standards for ethical AI and data privacy that also respect the diversity of different countries." The prime minister added that we have global rules for the aviation sector we need a similar framework for the digital sector.

"Just as we have created a framework of global rules and regulations for the aviation sector, the digital world also needs a similar framework," said PM.

PM Modi asked the World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA) to work on this and create global standards for ethical AI and data privacy to respect the diversity of different countries.

"I would like to ask every member of WTSA to think about how to make telecommunications safe for everyone. In this interconnected world, security cannot be an after-thought. India's Data Protection Act and National Cyber Security Strategy show our commitment towards creating a safe digital ecosystem." said Modi

PM Modi said India had put forward this issue before the world during its G-20 presidency in September last year, "I also want to put forward this issue before a global platform like WTSA. This issue is of global framework of digital technology, global guidelines. Now the time has come that global institutions will have to accept its importance for global governance. Do's and don'ts will have to be made at the global level for technology."

PM Modi said all the digital tools and applications that are available and used today are beyond restrictions, beyond the boundaries of any country. Therefore, no country can protect its citizens from cyber threats alone.

PM Modi asked all global institutions to work for this, "We will have to work together, global institutions will have to come forward and take responsibility." said Modi (ANI)

The deal between India and the US was signed in the presence of senior officials, according to defence officials.

Last week, the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) approved the acquisition of 31 Predator drones. Of these 31 Predator drones, 15 will go to the Indian Navy, while the rest will be divided equally between the Air Force and the Army.

Speaking to ANI on Monday, defence officials said that the foreign military sales contract with the US government for 31 Predator drones and the MRO was scheduled to be signed on Tuesday. The American team of military and corporate officials are in town for signing these contracts, the officials said.

India has been discussing the deal with the US for many years but the final hurdles were cleared a few weeks ago at the Defence Acquisition Council meeting, as it had to be cleared before October 31 as the validity of the American proposal was till that time only.

India would be basing the drones at four possible locations including INS Rajali near Chennai, Porbandar in Gujarat, Sarsawa and Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh. The Indian military has acquired the drones from the US in a tri-services deal with the numbers decided by the forces after a scientific study. (ANI)
