This season’s line-up tentatively consists of Vivian Dsena, Nia Sharma, Shoaib Ibrahim, Padmini Kolhapure, Sameera Reddy, Surbhi Jyoti, Karan Veer Mehra, Shilpa Shirodkar, Krishna Shroff, Gashmeer Mahajani, Nyra Banerjee, Surbhi Jyoti, Muskan Bamne, and Alice Kaushik.

Salman’s confident demeanor and engaging personality promise to captivate audiences once again as he navigates contestants through the challenges and drama that define the ‘Bigg Boss’ experience.

Prior to the broadcast version of the show, the streaming edition of ‘Bigg Boss OTT’ was released on OTT and saw the crowning of Sana Makbul as the winner with rapper Naezy being the runner-up.

‘Bigg Boss 18’ is set to premier October 6, 2024 on Colors TV and will also be available for streaming on JioCinema. 

This season introduces a unique theme titled “Time Ka Taandav,” hinting at an intense and chaotic experience. 

The house interiors are expected to reflect this time-based concept, incorporating various elements designed to challenge contestants and keep viewers intrigued.

Alcaraz, who is three years older than his 18-year-old opponent, admitted it felt unusual to face someone younger than himself on the ATP Tour. "I'm not used to playing against players younger than me," Alcaraz said after the match. "He has been playing good tennis lately, lifting his first ATP [title in Chengdu], so I'm pretty sure he's going to climb the rankings. I'm just happy to be able to win these kinds of matches."

From the outset, Alcaraz put on a show for the Shanghai crowd, opening the match by winning the first nine points and immediately breaking Shang's serve. The Spaniard’s aggressive net play, soft hands, and powerful returns kept his opponent on the back foot throughout. Alcaraz converted four of seven break points and won all seven of his net approaches.

One of the highlights of the match came early in the second set when Alcaraz, after being forced to retreat, pulled off a spectacular backward flick to rescue a point. He went on to win that rally and saved the only break point he faced in the match to maintain his 3-1 lead. Shang, visibly overmatched but maintaining good humor, could only smile after a booming return from Alcaraz sealed another game for the third seed.

Despite the loss, Shang left the court with a memorable experience. “At the net, he told me that it's a pleasure to share the court with you," Alcaraz said of his opponent. "These kinds of things that I hear from younger players, it’s great."

Alcaraz, who hasn't lost a match since his surprise second-round exit at the US Open, will now face another Chinese star, Wu Yibing, in the third round.

From Nanded, he flew to Poharadevi in a helicopter.

After Washim, he will travel to Thane and Mumbai to inaugurate a host of infrastructure projects.

Thereafter, at a public function he will launch several initiatives related to the agricultural and animal husbandry sector worth around Rs 23,300 crore.

In line with his commitment to empower farmers, the Prime Minister will disburse the 18th instalment of the PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi worth about Rs 20,000 crore to around 9.4 crore farmers.

With the 18th instalment release, the total funds released to farmers under PM-KISAN will be around Rs 3.45 lakh crore.

The Prime Minister will dedicate to the nation more than 7,500 projects under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF), worth over Rs 1,920 crore.

The major projects include custom hiring centres, primary processing units, warehouses, sorting and grading units, cold storage projects, post-harvest management projects among others.

The Prime Minister will also dedicate to the nation 9,200 Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) with a combined turnover of around Rs 1,300 crore.

He will also launch the Unified Genomic Chip for cattle and indigenous sex-sorted semen technology. This initiative aims to increase availability of sex sorted semen at affordable prices to farmers and reduce the cost by around Rs 200 per dose.

Unified Genomic Chip, GAUCHIP for indigenous cattle and MAHISHCHIP for buffaloes, have been developed along with genotyping services. With the implementation of genomic selection, young high-quality bulls can be identified at an early age.

Further, he will dedicate five solar parks with a total capacity of 19 MW across Maharashtra under Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana – 2.0. During the programme, he will also honour beneficiaries of the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana.
