The Speaker called the meeting to seek cooperation from all the members for the smooth running of the House.
“The Winter Session will be held without any Covid-19 restrictions from November 24. The MLAs can occupy their respective seats. The press gallery will be opened for media persons. House will function from 10.30 am to 1 pm and 4 pm-7 pm. There will be discussions on adjournment Motion for 90 minutes and the Treasury Bench, including reply of Ministers will be 35 minutes,” informed the Speaker after the all party meeting.
Meanwhile, the main Opposition BJP has opposed the proposal of MLAs attending the House proceedings though video conferencing. Lead of Opposition (LoP) Jayanarayn Mishra demanded the members to attend the House physically. “The members should attend the House physically. The government is allowing members to attend the proceedings through virtual mode so that the Chief Minister won’t come to the House. The BJP is opposing this move,” said LoP Mishra.
“As the main Opposition in the House, BJP should be allowed to submit the Adjournment Motion,” Mishra demanded during the all party meeting.
