As per reports, Sita Birua of Kantala village under Gayalmunda panchayat of Anandpar block in the distrct complained of labour pains this morning.
Soon the family members called 108 ambulance following which the ambulance rushed to the village but coundn’t reach near the house of the woman due to lack of motarable road in the village.
The family members had no option but to carry her on the stretcherfor for two km to reach a motorable road where the ambuance was parked.
Later, the woman was taken in the ambulance and admitted to a Community Health Centre (CHC) in Thakumunda.
“Vehicles cannot enter our village as there are no roads we have to carry patients to the main road from where an ambulance can be taken. In this case, we had to take the woman in a stretcher to reach near the ambulance,” a villager said.
