The deceased has been identified as Jyoti Ranjan Khamari of Chitipali village under the Birmarajpur police station limits in the district.
According to the information, Khamari was repairing a cable when he came in contact with an 11-kv wire. He was electrocuted on the spot.
On being informed, a team of Birmaharajpur police reached the spot and started an investigation.
