The Minister also thanked his party workers for their love and blessings during his visit to Sambalpur.
This was Pradhan’s maiden visit to Sambalpur a day after he was named the BJP candidate for the Sambalpur Lok Sabha seat for the upcoming general elections.
Earlier in the day, Pradhan paid obeisance to Lord Jagannath in Srimandir in the holy city of Puri. He also visited Lord Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar, Goddess Hingula Temple in Talcher and several other shrines today and sought blessings.
Yesterday, the BJP announced the names of its candidates for 18 of the 21 Lok Sabha seats in Odisha, with the party deciding to field Pradhan from Sambalpur constituency.
Pradhan had first made his Lok Sabha debut in 2004 from Deogarh constituency in Odisha. He was also elected as the member of the Rajya Sabha for two terms each from Bihar and Madhya Pradesh.
