Speaking at a rally in Basupali of Rairakhol, Pradhan highlighted the welfare schemes of the Narendra Modi government and appealed to the voters to vote for BJP to bring back the current government at the centre with the slogans of "Abki Baar 400 Paar" (This time, above 400).
"In the last 10 years, the Modi government has helped the poor and needy people. The Prime Minister has taken several welfare measures to empower them financially," Pradhan said.
The Union Minister also met local Bidi workers today and said, "The Modi government has taken steps to provide Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) services along with other facilities for Bidi workers."
Pradhan also pitched for a ‘double engine’ government in Odisha. "Like a double engine, BJP governments both in the State and at Centre can bring allround development in Odisha," he said urging the voters to vote for BJP in the ensuing general elections for the development of the state.
Earlier in the day, Pradhan visited Dakhinakali temple at Tampargarh in Rairakhol and offered prayers for formation of a "welfare government" in the State.
