Undertrial Prisoner ‘Attempts Suicide’ Inside Jail Premises, Hospitalised

An undertrial prisoner allegedly attempted suicide inside the Chhatarpur jail in Odisha’s Ganjam district on Wednesday.

Chhatrapur, Sep 11: An undertrial prisoner allegedly attempted suicide inside the Chhatarpur jail in Odisha’s Ganjam district on Wednesday.

The identity of the prisoner was not revealed till the report was filed.

According to sources, the prisoner cut his neck with a sharp glass.

The prisoner was rescued in a critical condition and promptly rushed to Chhatrapur Hospital for his treatment.
