The cabinet has approved two amendment to the Industrial Police 2015. The amendments to the said policy have been made considering many industries delay in submitting applications due to lack of knowledge about various incentives and certifications.
Also taking into account the situation created by the COVID-19 pandemic, the deadline for submission of applications for all types of incentives and certificates under the Industrial Policy 2015 has been approved to be extended from one year to two years.
For delay of more than two years, provision has been made for adjudication at the level of Chief Secretary. Those who have submitted by 30 June 2023 but are ineligible will be reconsidered whether they are eligible applicants or not.
