Thousands of people, including hundreds from neighbouring districts and Chhattisgarh, witnessed the holy ritualistic 'Chhatar Yatra' of Goddess Mahulaguchhen at Sinapalli in Nuapada district on Sunday.
Nuapada, Oct 14: Thousands of people, including hundreds from neighbouring districts and Chhattisgarh, witnessed the holy ritualistic 'Chhatar Yatra' of Goddess Mahulaguchhen at Sinapalli in Nuapada district on Sunday.
The Chhattar (Sacred umbrella covering idol) of Maa Mahulaguchhen, the presiding deity of Sinapalli, moved thruogh the town in a grand procession amid traditional dances and drum beating.
At devotional ambience was marked in the town, as devotees offered prayers to the Goddess during the yatra. Besides, local residents, people from neighbouring districts and Chhattisgarh congrated.
A sense of brotherhoold and soulfulness for each other were also marked as relatives and guests filled families on the auspicious occasion.
