According to the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, the dry wind will start blowing from the west and northwest directions which is likely to cause a rise in daytime temperature. Temperature is likely to cross 40 degree Celsius at some places in the interior and western parts of the State.
The highest maximum temperature of 38.7°C was recorded at Malkangiri and the lowest minimum temperature of 18.6°C was recorded at Angul by 1.30 pm today, stated the weather office.
