The Archeological Survey of India (ASI) and the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) have made joint preparations to repair cracks in the walls of the Inner Rathna Bhandar.
According to the information, repair work will be undertaken for five hours every day. It will start after the second Bhogamandap and continue for five to six hours, keeping devotees' presence and other issues in view.
A special committee of the SJTA will oversee the repair work, to be undertaken by the ASI, sources said.
Once repair work is over, an inventory of ornaments, pearls, and other valuables of Ratna Bandhar will be undertaken.
It is pertinent to note that Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan stated that inventory work would be completed by January 31, 2025.
