On the occasion of his birthday, the Union Minister said Pandit Laxminarayan was inspired by the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi and was committed to serving the nation from his student days. Pandit Lakshmi Narayan Mishra had envisioned a united society. He had a special love for language and literature and a commitment to their development, he said.
Pradhan also hoped that the legendary's relevant approaches towards self-identity and self-respect would benefit society. He said he is very hopeful that youth masses involved in politics will be inspired by his ideals.
"The soil of Sambalpur is unique. This soil is the battle soil of Vir Surendra Sai. This soil is also of Madho Singh's martyrdom and all who were martyred at Kudopali. Pandit Lakshminarayan Mishra was the "Samidha" wood of the freedom yajna performed by those dignified martyrs and then by Mahatma Gandhi," the Union Minister said.
