In a letter to the Principal Secretary of Law department of the State government, Special Officer of the Orissa High Court stated that the Courts of the Chief Judicial Magistrate or Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate will function as the Special Courts for wildlife crime cases.
In an exception to Sundargarh district, the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Sundargarh and Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Rourkela will act as Special Courts, the letter stated.
The Law department has been asked to take up the matter with the State government to issue a notification in this regard.
