According to the Meteorological Centre, Jharsuguda recorded the State’s highest temperature of 43.8 degree Celsius at 2.30 PM followed by Sambalpur at 42.4 degree Celsius, Keonjhar and Chandbali each at 42.2 degree Celsius, Hirakud at 42 degree Celsius, Rourkela at 41.8 degree Celsius, Bhubaneswar at 41.4 degree Celsius.
Meanwhile, the Meteorological Centre issued Orange and Yellow warnings of heat wave conditions for several districts during the next three days.
The weather office issued an Orange Warning (be prepared) for the districts of Mayurbhanj, Nayagarh, Angul, Boudh, Jharsuguda and Sundargarh during the next 24 hours.
Yellow warning (be updated) has been issued for the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Khordha, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Ganjam, Koraput, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Malkangiri and Nabarangpur during the period.
