Odisha: Orientation For Newly Recruited 16,009 Junior Teachers (Schematic) On October 5

The NGRE team, using radars, reportedly gathered data on the Ratna Bhandar conditions. Suspicion of underground rooms will be cleared after the data analysis is done at the laboratory.  

The team started the survey work Saturday carrying out an effort to gather data for around 3 hours and 50 minutes. With today's time, survey was conducted for a total of eight hours. 

The team will reportedly submit the report by the end of the first week of October. 

The repairing of the Ratna Bhandar will be carried out on the basis of the detailed report.

Inventorisation of ornaments and other valuables of the Inner Ratna Bhandar will be done after repair work, said Shree Jagannath Temple Administration chief Arabinda Kumar Padhee.  

Last week, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump also held a campaign rally here.

Formally known as the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in tribute to those who have served in the armed forces, it is about 50 kilometres from Manhattan with a 31-hectare campus and indoor arena with a capacity of 16,500 that can be increased by a couple of thousands for rallies.

Nassau Coliseum is the anchor for the Long Island Nets basketball team while hockey, wrestling, mixed martial arts, and boxing also are held there.

As one of the larger enclosed arenas in the New York metropolitan area, Nassau Coliseum is better known for its entertainment events across the region.

The entertainers who have performed here also include the Beach Boys, Frank Zappa, and Pink Floyd.

It was built on a former military base in 1972 and went through extensive renovations in 2017 that feature a signature design of 4,700 brushed aluminium fins wrapping the facade.

Originally, it was the home of the New York Islanders hockey team, which moved out in 2015 when the renovation began.

The multi-purpose indoor arena also anchored the New York Nets basketball team at one time.

Currently, there is a controversial proposal by the Las Vegas Sand company to transform it into a casino resort.

The Defence Ministry in a statement said that the course will focus on key areas related to future warfare.

Its aim is to develop an understanding of the manner in which future wars will manifest in terms of being contact, non-contact, kinetic, non-kinetic, psychological or informational, as also the domains where they will be fought, be it cyber, space or electromagnetic spectrum, an official said.

"A pioneering initiative by Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, this will be a rank agnostic course for Major Generals to Majors and their equivalent level officers from other services. The course intends to acquaint the officers with the operational and technological aspects of modern warfare," the statement read.

The course will also throw light on how emerging and disruptive technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, robotics and hypersonics will impact the conduct of warfare.

The statement noted that the need for a 'Future Warfare Course' for Tri-Services officers arises from the rapidly evolving nature of modern warfare, driven by technological advancements, changing global dynamics, and emerging threats. 

"Officers must be equipped to navigate this complex landscape, leveraging new technologies, and adapting to innovative tactics," it read. 

The course will foster jointness, and facilitate the development of a cohesive, futuristic, and tech-savvy force, capable of securing national interests in an increasingly uncertain and competitive environment.

According to the Defence Ministry, the course has been curated by Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff with the help of veterans and serving subject-matter experts. Subsequent courses will build upon the curriculum of this course and be of longer duration with the larger objective of making the Indian Armed Forces "Future Ready".
