Bhubaneswar, Sept 23: A low-pressure area is likely to be formed over the northeast and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal and conditions are favourable for the withdrawal of the southwest monsoon by September 23. By its impact, rainfall will occur in Odisha for five days, starting tomorrow.
The Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar has issued yellow warnings, predicting thunderstorms and lighting, for various districts for five days. Rainfall will continue in Odisha from September 22 to September 26, according to the Meteorological Centre.
Thunderstorms with lighting will occur at isolated places in the districts of Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur and Kendrapada on Sunday.
Rainfall is predicted in the above other districts in the next four days.
