The conclave, organised by the Argus News, will address various aspects of healthcare services in the State. Odisha’s Law, Works and Excise Minister Prithviraj Harichandan graced the occasion as chief guest and inaugurated the mega conclave.
Three key topics -- (1) Odisha As A Destination Next For Advanced Healthcare, (2) Allied Health As A Source Of Employment And Livelihood, and (3) Rural Health Infrastructure –Improvements For A Healthy Nation -- will be discussed in the health conclave.
Several eminent personalities relating to health care services from across the country will participate in the conclave.
Dr. Gautam Khanna, CEO, P.D Hinduja Hospital & Medical Research, Mumbai; Asit Rath, CEO & M.D, Aviva India and Dr. B.S. Srinath, Managing Trustee, Sri Shankara Cancer Foundation; and Dr Subrat Jena, M.S (Ortho), M.Ch (Plastic Surgery) Chairman Ashwini Group of Hospitals; will speak on “Odisha As A Destination Next For Advanced Healthcare”. The panel discussion on the said topic is scheduled to be held from 12.15 pm to 1.15 pm.
Dr. Ashok Choudhury, Hepatolgist and Transplant Physician, Additional Professor, Institute Of Liver And Biliary Sciences; Sudhansu Adhikari, State Head, Patanjali Yog Peeth, Odisha & Chairman, India Yoga Associatio, Odisha; Biren Das, Eminent Film Producer and Health Awareness Consultant, and Dr. Shaktimaya Mohapatra, Director, Manipal Hospital, Bhubaneswar; will participate at the panel discussion on the topic of “Allied Health As A Source Of Employment And Livelihood”. The panel discussion on the said topic is scheduled to be held from 1.15 pm to 2.15 pm.
Similarly, Kasturi Sengupta, General Manager (Health), National Insurance Co. Ltd. Kolkata; Dr. Pradeep Kumar Patra, V.C, Pt. Deendayal Hospital, Raipur; Subitha Kumar B. Sanum Sanguineas Solutions Pvt. Ltd, and Dr. Shibasish Giri, Endogenous stem cell specialist, University of Leipzig and Technical University of Munich, Germany, will take part on the panel discussion on “Rural Health Infrastructure – Improvements For A Healthy Nation.” ”. The panel discussion on the said topic is scheduled to be held from 3.15 pm to 4.15 pm.
The State of Odisha has witnessed a significant change in healthcare services in the past few years. Yet, there are many areas in the State where people are deprived of access to good health facilities. The participants of the conclave are likely to address several such issues for the development of healthcare services in the State, a member of the organising committee said.
