A total of eight Indian and foreign teams will be participating in the tournament. A delegation of Hockey India reached Rourkela and reviewed arrangements for the successful organization of the scheduled tournament.
The Hockey India team visited the Astroturf, galleries, toilets, parking lots, entrances and other facilities at the Birsa Munda Stadium.
In the review meeting held at the stadium premises, various aspects were thoroughly discussed. Players from all eight franchises have confirmed their presence at the local Mayfair World Cup Village.
