PM Modi arrived at the Biju Patnaik International Airportin the State capital at around 10.30 PM. He received a grand welcome from the State BJP leaders and the enthusiastic locals at the Airport.
The people were heard chanting 'Modi, Modi', and raised slogans of 'Abki Baar 400 Paar'.
According to party sources, the Prime Minister will hold a closed door meeting with the party’s senior members late in the night. He will make a night halt at Raj Bhavan here.
PM Modi will address election rallies at Berhampur and Nabarangpur on Monday. He will again come to the state on May 10, when he will lead a road show in Bhubaneswar. On the following day, he would address an election rally in Balangir.
The Commissionerate Police have tightened security arrangements for the PM's visit.
Tight security has been ensured from Biju Patnaik International Airport to the Raj Bhavan this evening, a police officer said.
Earlier in the day, BJP national president JP Nadda released the party's manifesto for the Odisha assembly elections 2024 and vowed to end corruption of Biju Janata Dal.
