According the commitment of the Govt of India, the drive will be effective in 20 districts in the state from July 16 to September 15. Giving priorities to Mayurbhanj district, Dy CM Singh Deo has kicked off the campaign in Dhanpur.
The drive focuses on the livelihood of the farmers. Farmers would be able to earn more than Rs 2 lakhs per a hectare of land.
Besides Singh Deo, Housing & Urban Development Minister Dr. Krushna Chandra Mahapatra, two MPs and six MLAs of Mayurbhanj and Balasore districts were present at the inauguration ceremony.
The guests gave speeches educating the people on the excellence of palm oil and how the cultivation of this crop can make farmers self-reliant and profitable.
The BJP members also criticised the former government for failing to keep their words on providing various facilities like water, forest and land.
The guests also highlighted the fact saying the BJP Govt has initiated their first scheme, keeping the welfare and financial gain of the farmers in mind, within 42 days since coming to power in Odisha.
The Deputy CM also assured the people that the commitment, given by the BJP before the 2024 general elections, will definitely be fulfilled.
