“Let them (Naveen Patnaik and VK Pandian of the BJD) say whatever they want. Let June 4 come, the BJP will form a government in Odisha with an absolute majority,” Amit Shah said in an exclusive interview to the Argus News during his roadshow at Cuttack today.
To a question on Odia Asmita, Shah said, “The Naveen Patnaik government has destroyed the Odia culture, language and literature. People have already decided to change the government.”
When asked about people’s complaint that ornaments of Puri Shreemandi’s Ratnabandar have been stolen, Shah said, “I am not telling they have been stolen. I want the real matter (inventory of ornaments of Ratnabhandar) should come to the public knowledge.”
Shah also severely criticized the BJD government for its failures in all sectors, while terming its 25 years of rule as “Lost Years”.
“Odisha has lost 25 years. There is no drinking water supplied to people and there are no roads constructed in the State. Odisha has not seen any development during these years,” contended Shah.
He claimed that people of Odisha are living on Narendra Modi projects only.
It may be noted that at a Vijay Sankalpa Samavesh at Berhamppur, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had first stated that the BJD’s expiry date is June 4 and the BJP’s chief ministerial candidate will be chosen on June 6 and oath-taking ceremony will be held on June 10.
Similarly, Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Rajnath Singh have also exuded confidence that the BJD government would be bid bye bye and the BJP would form a government in the State for the first time.
